This will be the first time no EP has appeared between
albums...I am looking forward to this release because I have
a feeling it is going to be a lot more straight forward than
previous releases.

Why the fuck are a heap of you posting shit in here? Phobia
should delete all the posts and close the topic until it is
released, or at such a time you lot can be a bit more
mature.

When was leak 1 confirmed as real and who by?

Anyway.........

I'm looking forward to this album. I didn't like Draft at
first but it was a grower on me. Since I've got my mp3
player and had it on random this album has really got into
my mind. A track comes on and I know instantly it's from
Draft. There's a certain sounds running through that
album...

I really hope untilted is like that. If leak 1 is the real
thing then i'm moderately happy.

so far it seems the stand out track to me

as did track 5 on draft with those obscenely good surround
sounds in it came out of nowhere

or was it track 8 ? shit.

anyways , there is so much sick shit they can do with iera
live , the possibilites are endless. i cant wait to hear it
, i know they will be busting it out. it reminds me of how i
wish i had seen them perform maphive 6.1 live , those
melodies screamed out for some improvisational jamming you
never got on the record.

ae put out 2 albums, and whatever one people like the most
they will claim it is the 'real' one and will release it...

Its been years since autchre came close to sounding this
simple. Even then they had stellar "sounds". The autchre
production from day one has had some of the most
textured/complex original sounds behind the music. This has
no depth, has poor fuzzy production, and simple
architecture. That songs is straight forward simple rythmic
IDM with no ambience on it at all. Thats highly unlikely
ever from an autechre song that usually builds all its beats
ontop of a wall of ambient sound, and melodies. it's also
donwright uneventfull and bland at the end. In the end
autechre rather sound completely jacked up decostructed
noisy then "boring". The would release and album full of
random shite, before something this easy to make.

Listening to it the second time through. I like it.
first thoughts, steady pace through. very different. more
direct.
i heard the dub that was spoken of. and the horn stabs.
ahah. it has given me the wtf/lol face, and surprised me as
well. good job sean and rob.

it is a grower,

nuff said...

it sounds so simple and straightforward, yes ... but all of
that disappears when you hear a good cut version

i'm still waiting for my copy....

i just listened to fermium and i agree with elusive. A
GROWER.
actually like most of ae records that i've heard. i
regretted buying "confield" after the first listen, i
remember.

it's just putting expectations away. and listening.

to the grower term.

it would be good if labels put a mark on the cover, let us
say it is a tree (it grows). So a person can see this when
buying. And, following this morning threadie about using
Braille on discs. This mark should be a haut-relief for the
blind people to feel this.

[btw] if the record i'm listening to right now is untilted
then it's okay.

haha when a blind person feels the cd, they cant tell who
the artist is, they cant tell what the album is called, but
they will feel the tree and buy it because they know it will
be a grower

fermium I acutally don't like very much. it's all right.

a lot of the record reminds me of lp5
like the breakdown/buildup in iera is reminiscent of the one
in underBOAC, but the way it repeatedly comes apart sounds a
lot like fold4,wrap5

the beginning (first 2 minutes or so) of sublimit is great,
it has a lot of motion which reminds me of surripere

untilted is a great album i have been listening to it ever
since it was just a leak - but i would say that this album
was not a grower that same way that draft and confield are -
untilted is more out in the open slams you over the
head-kinda of goodness. where confield and draft sneak up on
you, this one is not subtle.

after listening to this for a while and the recording of
their SE1 set, I can honestly understand why this record is
the way it is. Its not that its better or worse, its just
contextually and methodologically different. It also made
me rethink and appreciate Draft 7.30 in a whole different
light now too. Anyways, I like it, but want to give it more
time once I get the proper disk tomorrow. I still hold true
to my prior mentions, though the context of the live show
breathes a new layer of understanding into the record.

yeah very different to conf and draft

I hope their next one is more of a Confield-esque
atmospheric album. I loved Confield from the word go and
never understood why people found it that difficult.

Untilted has some wicked beat work and is a pretty fun
listen, but it lacks the atmosphrics I love about Ae.
