So I finally got a new computer recently, it's a laptop and
of course it's cursed with vista. haven't figured out how to
record to the damned thing yet, and i can't really use old
sound recorder for cut and paste anymore because they
changed it.

however, since i've been doing it like that for years, i
figured i'd go ahead and break and change and finally get
with the times. what do people recommend that might work on
vista, and why? i'd like something not terribly expensive
(not over $100) and i'd like to be able to import things
straight in.

or, if you could tell me how to copy the old version of
sound recorder and place it right into vista, maybe even
with a clipboard file, that'd be great too.

if you were a criminal like me you would get good software
and not pay for it, like sony soundforge

that's an option too. i'm rather poor. i just don't feel
like nabbing viruses on the way since Spybot's my only
guardian.

dual boot xp that way you can have vista for net and xp
for sound...might help seperate those naughty virus's from
the net too.
